Casa Susana
The house is very old. It has been restored with great care to retain its Moorish charm, yet provide the amenities and comfort that one would expect at home. The house is ideally suited to one or two couples, or a small family. It has two bedrooms, sitting room, kitchen, dining room, bathroom and spacious roof terrace with distant views down to the sea. A small internal courtyard is on the lower floor. For the cooler months the log fire is a great asset together with secondary heating. There is a supply of reading material, notes on short walks and excursions and a radio/CD player with a selection of music.

Canillas de Albaida nestles just below the Tejeda Parque Natural on the south facing slopes of the Sierra Almijara. Life in the village is peaceful and relaxing. Although small, it has four good restaurants, bars, a bakery and well stocked shops. There is an attractive village swimming pool just a couple of minutes walk from Casa Susana. The sister village of Cómpeta is just over a mile away and has more bustle with good restaurants and shops. The house, village and area are likely to appeal to those seeking a tranquil village setting in a lovely part of traditional Spain. It is far removed from the Costa del Sol, yet just 12 miles away from the Mediterranean beaches.
